Casinos in Pennsylvania are on a roll. The venues are earning more revenues every day and November resulted in the state’s largest total to date. Last month, the casinos busted the monthly revenue record after generating over $432.5 million!

The amount is over $6 million more than October and shows that the venues in the state are recovering form the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The state earned over 50% more than November 2020, when only $148 million was reported.

Individual Casino Totals Hit New Heights

Casino operators in the state have been able to see solid traffic, which resulted in big revenues for November. The top earner was Hollywood Casino located at Penn National. This venue earned the most last month at $60 million.

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh did well, generating over $30 million. The majority of the earnings was from slot games with over $21 million earned. Table games brought in over $7 million. Sports betting was good too, earning the facility over $3 million.

Hollywood Casino at the Meadows came close to the $30 million mark, earning $26.7 million. The earnings were basically split, with $12 million coming from sports betting and $11.9 million from slots. Table games generated far less at $2.8 million.

Live! Casino Pittsburgh, a smaller gaming venue in the state, generated just over $8 million, with $6.9 million coming from slot games. Table games brought in just over $1 million and sports betting in a retail setting created just over $300,000 in earnings.

Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin was on the short end of the revenue spectrum, earning just $1.88 million. The majority was from slot games as table games brought in only $178,735.

Additional Totals from the Pennsylvania Gaming Market

Alongside casino slots and table games, there are video gaming terminal revenues to consider along with sports betting, both online and in retail format. In November, the video gaming terminals were able to bring in over $3 million in revenues. Fantasy sports contests were also up, with $3.3 million in earnings.

Sports betting is booming in Pennsylvania, with players taking to the retail outlets as well as placing bets online. In total, the earnings from both sections came in at over $63 million. This was a huge increase from October when only $23 million was generated. The majority of November’s earnings came from online betting, with $55 million in total.

Wagers were up as well. Last month, over $761 million was bet while the same month last year saw only $491 million bets. It seems players are traveling to the casinos more and logging online which is helping to increase the number of bets as well as amount played on traditional casino games. Overall, the state’s casinos are doing well and hope that the trend continues.
