This year’s event will take place October 5–6 at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, where experts, researchers, and professionals from around the world will come together to discuss the latest developments in gambling research and responsible gaming (RG).
Topics Discussed
This flagship science-based forum will span two full days packed with expert talks, fresh research, and essential talks on gambling disorders and responsible gaming.
It’s built to offer something valuable for a wide range of attendees, from treatment providers and public health workers to industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers.
Those focused on treatment and public health will dive into topics like new combined therapy approaches, research on risk factors, inclusive ways to expand care, treatment for gambling alongside other conditions, and the latest digital tools for screening and intervention.
For industry professionals, regulators, and responsible gambling specialists, the conference offers sessions on tailoring responsible gambling messages to player motivation, real-time risk detection techniques, and examining the evolving role of RG teams, posing the question of whether they serve more as support systems or surveillance entities.
Attendees will also be allowed to closely examine public perceptions of responsibility in RG while also exploring a few global perspectives on policy-making and regulation in the field.
Researchers will delve into hot topics, including the connection between gambling, alcohol, and cannabis use, the use of Artificial Intelligence to promote safer gambling practices, changing behaviors among young players, and the public’s opinions on current sports betting policies.
New studies will also be showcased during interactive poster presentations and fast-paced lightning talks.
Attendees Can Earn Up to 12 CE Credits
Everyone attending can earn up to 12 continuing education credits (CECs), where one CEC is the equivalent of one hour spent participating in a continuing education program.
Participants can also join mentoring sessions, a research awards luncheon, and networking events with professionals from around the world.
Participants are also recommended to download the event app to enjoy smoother check-ins and keep track of the sessions they are interested in with more ease.
