Caesars Entertainment CorporationSummary:

  • Caesars Entertainment reported a net loss of $123m during the third quarter of 2026.
  • More than double the $55m loss recorded a year earlier
  • Caesars Digital revenue rose 4.8% to $320 million

Caesars Entertainment has reported a net loss of $123 million in the third quarter of 2026, which is more than double its loss a year earlier.

The results come amid revenue from its Las Vegas properties have dropped and the company fell short of previous expectations.

The casino operator posted a loss of 61 cents per share on revenue of $2.94 billion for the quarter. Analysts had expected earnings of 8 cents per share on revenue of $2.96 billion.

Revenue increased slightly compared with the same period last year, but the company’s net loss widened from $55 million in the third quarter of 2025.

Caesars reported adjusted EBITDA of $865 million, down from $884 million a year earlier.

Las Vegas Revenue Declines as Regional Casinos Grow

Caesars’ nine Las Vegas properties generated $930 million in revenue, a 2.3% decline from $952 million in the third quarter of 2025.

The company’s regional casino business moved in the opposite direction, with revenue rising 5.9% to approximately $1.6 billion from $1.5 billion in the prior-year quarter.

Caesars Digital also recorded growth. Revenue from the division increased 4.8% to $320 million, compared with $311 million a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA for the digital business climbed to $44 million from $28 million.

Revenue from properties managed or branded by Caesars declined 20.5% to $55 million, down from $73 million in the third quarter of 2025.

The results show differing performances across the company’s business segments, with digital and regional casino operations recording revenue growth while its Las Vegas properties and managed and branded operations reported declines.

Caesars Shares Edge Lower Ahead of Proposed Merger

Caesars shares closed at $28.85 on Tuesday, down 14 cents, or 0.48%, on Nasdaq trading volume of approximately 6.2 million shares. That exceeded the company’s average trading volume of 4.8 million shares.

In after-hours trading, the stock fell a further five cents, or 0.17%, to $28.80.

The company did not hold a third-quarter earnings conference call because of the pending $17.6 billion acquisition and merger with Fertitta Entertainment, announced earlier this year.

Under the proposed transaction, Caesars would transition into a privately held company and delist from Nasdaq once the deal closes.

Debt Remains Above $11 Billion

Caesars reported $11.7 billion in aggregate principal debt outstanding as of September 30, 2026, down from $11.9 billion at the same point last year.

The company held $864 million in cash and cash equivalents, excluding an additional $113 million in restricted cash.

The third-quarter results come as Caesars prepares for a potential ownership change that would take the company out of the public markets. Until the proposed transaction closes, the company’s financial performance and debt position remain key indicators of its operating condition.
