The Las Vegas Strip finished modestly, up 0.3%.

Those gains came despite a softer December, when gaming revenue statewide dropped 1.6% compared to the same month in 2024, and the Strip saw a sharper 6.1% drop from December 2024.

Nonetheless, Senior Economic Analyst Shelley Newell explained that December 2025 marked the 58th straight month that Nevada casinos exceeded the $1 billion mark in monthly gaming wins.

Overall, statewide win for the month also rose above pre-pandemic levels, up 36% or $380.9 million compared to December 2019. Compared to December 2023, Nevada’s December gaming win was up 2%, though the Strip slipped 2.7%, Newell went on.

Balance: Sportsbook Hold Up 9.1%, Total Wagers Down 9.1%

Sports betting stood out as one of the biggest swings. Nevada sportsbooks won $67.6 million in December, a huge jump from the unusually weak $15 million posted a year earlier.

That increase came even as total wagers fell 9.1% to $746.7 million. The difference was hold, which climbed to 9.1% compared to just 1.8% last December. Mobile betting continued to dominate, accounting for nearly three quarters of all wagers.

On the Strip, total gaming win landed at $827.7 million for the month. Both table games and slots were down, and baccarat was a major drag despite slightly higher volume. Baccarat win fell more than 20% as hold dropped sharply from last year. Slot machines also saw lower wins, even though coin-in reached an all-time high of $6.4 billion.

Away from the Strip, Downtown Las Vegas posted a solid December, with table games driving most of the growth. North Las Vegas, the Boulder Strip, and the balance of Clark County all recorded increases for both the month and the year.

Outside Southern Nevada, Washoe County edged higher in December, helped by strong table game performance and a big rebound in sportsbook results. Reno dipped slightly for the month but still finished the year higher overall, while Sparks continued to show steady growth.

Summary: Gaming revenue in Nevada went up 1.2% in 2025, with the Las Vegas Strip recording a slight 0.3% increase.
