In March, all verticals brought in $554.6 million. <\/p>\n<p>This was an increase of 7.6% from last year and a new monthly high. The previous record was set in December 2023, when $534.2 million was generated. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"boosting-overall-revenues\">Boosting Overall Revenues<\/h2>\n<p>March\u2019s total was helped along by a big increase in online casino gaming. The sector brought in $191.1 million, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casinousa.com\/games\/slots\">slots<\/a> creating the bulk of earnings at $135.5 million\u2014an increase of over 29%. Table games came in at just over $53 million, with a huge 31.2% boost. In total, iGaming was up 29% from last year. <\/p>\n<p>The state\u2019s iGaming sector continues to see improvement in revenues and services rendered. The state just got started in 2019 and has quickly become a top region for online gaming services. Players have access to casino games and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casinousa.com\/games\/sports-betting\">sports betting<\/a> via apps and websites. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"individual-revenue-breakdown\">Individual Revenue Breakdown <\/h2>\n<p>According to the operator, several land-based casinos in the state saw big jumps. <strong>Hollywood Casino<\/strong> at Penn National led the pack, earning $88.2 million. This was an 8.9% increase compared to March of last year. <strong>Valley Forge Casino Resort<\/strong> was not far behind, with $88 million in earnings. This was a boost of over 28%. Parx Casino generated $59.5 million, which was a slight decrease of 1.5%. <\/p>\n<p>For <a href=\"https:\/\/gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/2024-04\/Gaming_Revenue_Monthly_Slots_FY20232024.pdf\">retail slot gaming<\/a>, the state saw $227.9 million in earnings. <strong>Parx Casino<\/strong> brought the bulk with $34.3 million. Wind Creek was not too far behind with $27.4 million, a nice 9.8% boost from last year. <strong>Rivers Casino<\/strong> saw over $25 million in revenues, an increase of around 1.3%. <\/p>\n<p>When it comes to online casino gaming, Hollywood Casino is king. The brand brought in $72.3 million, a solid increase of 16%. Valley Forge Casino was next with $50.8 million, a huge increase of almost 60% from last year. Rivers Casino was also in the mix, earning $32.7 million, an increase of 7.2%. <\/p>\n<p>Online players are showing no signs of slowing down, and we expect the state to continue to see a huge boost in earnings month to month. It would not be surprising to see new records hit throughout the year as more revenues are earned from slots and table games. Players tend to play iGaming more than visit casinos, especially for those who are not located near a physical gaming venue. It\u2019s easier to use a smartphone or laptop to play a few games instead of taking a trip to a gaming facility that is why <strong>Senator Wayne Fontana<\/strong> has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casinousa.com\/news\/pennsylvania-senator-announces-plans-for-credit-card-ban-bill-connected-to-igaming\">proposed to ban credit card use on iGaming<\/a>. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Summary: The $554.6 million monthly total sets a new record.
