The latest incident took place in Billings, Montana at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/category\/Bar\/Gold-Dust-Casino-1942848812420537\/\">Gold Dust Casino<\/a>. Early Monday morning a man approached the casino with a gun and robbed the facility for an undisclosed amount of money. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"details-of-the-incident\">Details of the Incident<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Billings Police Department<\/strong> reported on the incident to the public via Twitter, discussing how the robbery went down. Supposedly in the early morning hours, a male suspect in his late teens to mid-20s came into the casino. He was around 160 pounds and 5\u20199 or 5\u201910. He was wearing jeans and a dark hoodie, with a gun. <\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">22-54508 8\/8\/22 @ 0122 hours- A male suspect robbed the Gold Dust Casino, 1310 15th St W at gunpoint and stole an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled the area. There were no injuries sustained by any victims. This is an ongoing investigation.<br \/>-Sgt. Police say that there were no injuries during the incident and the suspect fled on an ATV or motorcycle. No clear description of the vehicle was given except that it was not a car or truck, but some type of smaller vehicle. <\/p>\n<p>Police are investigating the incident and hope to receive help from the public. The robbery took place early enough that the property was not busy. This helped to avoid anyone else being in any potential crossfire but also means a lack of witnesses to the crime. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"multiple-robberies-at-casinos\">Multiple Robberies at Casinos <\/h2>\n<p>This is not the first time a casino was robbed in the US, and it won\u2019t be the last. However, we have noticed and increase in robberies involving casinos in the country. One of the more recent incidents involved an armored truck and gunfire. <\/p>\n<p>Last week, an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casinousa.com\/news\/shootout-with-armed-robbers-at-the-hustler-casino-ends-in-injury\">armored vehicle arrived at the Hustler Casino<\/a> only to be attacked by individuals with guns. The security guards stepped out the truck and were shot by unidentified suspects. One guard was injured from a gun shot wound, though it was later determined to be non-life threatening. <\/p>\n<p>It is unclear as to how much cash was stolen in this incident as well. Police in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casinousa.com\/states\/california\">California<\/a> are hopeful to find those involved so charges can be filed for the robbery as well as injury to the security guard. <\/p>\n<p>These incidents are just a small example of how casinos are currently being targeted by robbers. It is important for casinos to stay vigilant and be more aware of such happenings in the local area.
